Over the past two decades, Amanda has continually developed as a health care professional. While her main area of practice and expertise is in Outpatient Hand and Upper Extremity Therapy, she also offers stroke rehab, breast cancer rehab, rehabilitation yoga, ergonomics and home access/aging in place consultations. For nine locations in the Washington Metropolitan area, Amanda successfully opened offices, staffed, and trained the OTs and PTs in the treatment of the Hand and Upper Extremity. She taught numerous courses in Splinting and Orthotic fabrication. Lead the evaluation and treatment of breast cancer patients under a Susan G. Komen grant and worked both inpatient and outpatient for clients with stroke and brain injuries. Amanda is a graduate of Boston University with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy. She went on to receive a post graduate specialty degree in the Hand and Upper Extremity from Drexel University College of Medicine. Amanda is licensed in Maryland and CPR certified. Her special areas of interest and continuing education have been in adult and pediatric orthopedics, neurological impairments/degenerative diseases, pediatic OT, functional strengthening and fall prevention in the aging population.
